Meet Dr. Emily Carter

Dr. Emily Carter, D.M.D.

Dr. Emily Carter is a proud native of Fyffe, Alabama, and a 2007 graduate of Fyffe High School. She went on to attend Auburn University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She then completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry.

While at UAB, Dr. Emily met her husband, Dr. Jared Carter, who was completing his specialty training in Orthodontics. After finishing their respective programs, they moved to Rainsville, Alabama, where they now live and serve the community through their dental and orthodontic practices.

Dr. Emily and Dr. Jared Carter have three daughters—Audrey, Clara, and Lila—and a Goldendoodle named Charlie. Outside the office, Dr. Emily enjoys running, leisurely bike rides, neighborhood strolls with her daughters and Charlie. She is an active member of Church of the Highlands (Gadsden campus), where she serves in the Highlands Preschool ministry.

Dr. Emily is active in the American Dental Association and the Alabama Dental Association.
